Material sample tile made of porcelain paste with 30% recycled ceramic with components of porcelain and stoneware mix which was already fired, with glazing. This ceramic waste was from an old shower base, broken shards found in the garbage bin, discarded by a local construction worker after renovating a bathroom in Porto downtown.
The logo of the brand Valadares of the shower base was still visible at some shards and the origin could be identified.

Production Process:
• waste collection
• crushed and ground into fine powder
• Portioning: 100ml of ceramic paste with a composition of 30 % waste powder and 70% liquid raw material and additional 5-10% water
• slip casting mould
• drying phase
Firing:
• first firing - low firing with temperature of 950 degrees
• second firing - high firing with temperature of 1200 degrees
