Composition:
90% recycled cork with 10% resin.
This material samples is made out of a combination of wine stoppers granulate and CNC milling leftovers from black agglomerated cork.
The recycled cork wine stoppers were collected by APCOR - Portuguese Cork Association - and ViniPortugal during the event ProWein - one of the largest wine fairs in Europe - in Düsseldorf in March 2023.
The black cork dust and shavings are a waste product of CNC milling process and has no normal recycling stream so far and would normally end up in the garbage.
